Dear colleague,

            For 2010 we have transformed the traditional format of ARI (Alicante Refractive International) into one that involves a more specialized scientific content. From this, "ARI Monographic" was born. This year it will be dedicated to the Minimally Invasive Cataract Surgery.

            During this course we aim to address Minimally Invasive Cataract Surgery from a technological and a fundamental aspect and also mini incisions (2.2mm) or micro incision (sub-1.8mm). We will also look at the intraocular lenses available for this surgery.

            The meeting has as its fundamental mission to reach conclusions about the practical reality of this surgery, which is currently in the limit of cataract surgery in terms of technological possibilities and incision and new generation intraocular lenses.

            The course will be held on 12th and 13th of March 2010 where both live surgery and high quality scientific contributions will take place.
